SERVICING PROCESS
Mortality Status
The insured individual agrees to be monitored by Life Settlement Solutions Inc., consenting to maintain periodic contact with the special servicer (personally or through a designee). Life Settlement Solutions and 21st Services utilize a variety of methods to accomplish this task, including:
- Monthly, quarterly, semi–annual or annual contacts with the insured
individual or a person designated by the insured for this purpose;
- Monthly, quarterly, semi–annual or annual contacts with the insured's primary physician; and
- Quarterly, semi–annual or annual search on state information systems reporting deaths listed by social security numbers.
These methods include use of sophisticated database–tracking systems. As required and in adherence to state law, 21st Services will contact monthly those insureds with a life expectancy of less than 12 months and, on a quarterly basis, those with a life expectancy greater than 12 months. |
